SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
ELIGIBILITY:
Individuals, organizations, municipalities, public authorities, developers and public/private partnerships may submit applications for plans, studies and projects -- completed in Dauphin County between 2021-2023 -- in which they were principally involved in design, development or implementation. Previous entries that did not win must be resubmitted to be considered. NOTE: Agencies governed by Dauphin County are not eligible.
ENTRY EXAMPLES:
Example entries include but are not limited to: agricultural resource protection; bike-ped plans; comprehensive plans; design guidelines; development projects; economic development plans; floodplain & riparian area preservation; growth management practices; historic preservation plans; housing; infrastructure improvement; neighborhood revitalization; open space plans; ordinance revisions; programs & policies; public services; public-private partnerships; recreation plans; regulations & codes; renewal projects; sustainable development; transit; transportation networks; water & wastewater infrastructure.
REQUIRED APPLICATION PACKAGE:

Planning Awards entry form with typed or signed signature;

1-2 page project summary;

1-2 page project narrative explaining how the project meets the judging criteria and category objectives;

Supporting material, including pictures, plans or renderings in print quality format;

2 to 5 letters of reference supporting the application;

A list of all project partners with contact info;

Please include all of the above materials in a single PDF file -- with your organization in the file name -- and UPLOAD IT HERE [SUBMISSION PERIOD IS CLOSED]

Applicant signature approves entry and use of all application materials in DCPC publications.

NOTE: Entrants in the 2024 PPAs are encouraged to submit their projects to the 2024 PA Chapter of the APA Planning Awards, which it closely parallels.
CATEGORIES:
Entrants may select a preferred category. Judges have the flexibility to consider an entrant in a different category. Judges will award up to 6 entries. Judges may also recognize a project, regardless of category, for overall excellence in enhancing and improving the life of Dauphin County residents. Categories include:
